James 5:16 (KJV)
"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
What this Verse Means
James teaches that healing and spiritual strength often begin with honesty. Temptation grows strongest in secrecy, but confession brings hidden struggles into the light where God can begin His work. This verse is not only about admitting sin to God, but also about allowing trusted believers to walk alongside us through prayer, encouragement, and accountability.
You confess to God for forgiveness. You confess to other believers for healing.
